Favorite Games: Loaded Questions

Travel to northern Boone County! The 5 B’s are determined to populate this area with LB’s! This box represents how our family loves games! Loaded Questions is a favorite due to the intuitive skills, creativity and all around fables this game requires! Take 63 North to the Finger Lakes/Rocky Fork Conservation Area. Enter the park and enjoy some history – motocross – fishing etc. This area is full of recreation and history.

Enter the park and head to the Rocky Fork Lake area. If you brought your fishing pole, you might want to rest after this hike and snooze on the banks of the lake like Tom Sawyer. Go past the first large parking lot and go to the end of the parking lot until you see a service gate. Park in this area.

But, figure out the code below to see where your adventure starts.

GUR FRIRAGU FGBAR

At the gate count backwards to ________ you will see an unmarked and unkept trail across the drainage ditch. Follow this narrow path to the service road. Go left onto the service road.

To gain the history of this land you will see on your left a coil of cable emerging from the ground. This cable is rooted into the soil in several places to give the hint of the areas mining days.

Further down you will see on your left a mixture of tall pines and cedars, keep traveling on the road. For your enjoyment, look for the prints of several animals – deer & coyote esp coyotes were abundant in the area the day this box was planted. We were also treated to a recently deceased coyote on the trail. It is an amazing animal with an impressive set of teeth! You will come to a V – stay to the left.

Where the service road veers left you will see a downed telephone pole on your right. Follow the rocky wash up the slope and you will end in a clearing. You will see a ridge appearing in the distance – this is your hill! Take 35 paces to the southwest and up the slope! You will see a large construction project along the south ridge, cross this to head up the ridge. As you are going up the ridge, a lone tree will appear slowly as you ascend to the top.

Once at the top, gain your breath and look around. What a lovely surprise has overgrown what once was a strip mining area. Here you will see the lonely tree about 20 paces in front of you. Align yourself with the south tower and venture forth! Once you have aligned yourself with the south towers, look into the gully and you will see a remnant of Stonehenge. This is where the motherload is his hidden!

This descent is full of rain gullies that might be a real ankle twister, so pay attention to footing here! Where the two rocks have fallen you will find your questions answered!
