The Snake Box
Park your car in the Rockwood Mansion parking lot by the pond, then walk back the way you came. Turn right at a sign that has a copper roof. Stop when you see a trail marker that says, “Romance Run.” Leave the pavement and take the dirt path. Stay to the left at the split. Keep following the path through the hole in the wall and up the steps. At the top of the steps, turn left. When you see three stumps, you can take a rest on them. Then, continue on until you come to a tree with the stump on one side of the path and the rest of the log on the other. Take six more steps to a tree that can be used as a billboard and has 11 babies growing from its roots. Reach your hand into the hole in the trunk. There is the box. Our snake is a constrictor. It likes hugs!
