The “Presidio Hill” Letterbox is located in Presidio Community Park in Old Town.

To get there take the 8 Fwy and Exit at Taylor towards
Old Town.

From Taylor take Presidio Drive. At the “T” go to the left to stay on Presidio Drive. Follow it up past the Mission Museum. Circle to the left around the park (it is one-way). There will be houses on your right side and the park on the left. Just after the last house there will be a statue of Gustavo Diaz Ordaz on a horse. Try to park near the statue.

You will head towards the public restrooms which are on the North East end of the park as the road curves to the left. On the side where the woman’s restrooms is look for the small “Trail” sign.

Follow this trail straight down a moderately steep slope. You will pass 6 big pine trees on your left. At the bottom of the slope (about 95 to 100 yards from the trail head) there will be a short bridge. Before the bridge there is a line of rocks on your right. Look under the biggest oval shaped rock. There you will find the “Presidio Hill” letterbox.

Now you can explore the trails,
and/or go back and have a picnic.

Enjoy this beautiful park!
