NEW YORK IS CHARMING
This letterbox is a tribute to the "EMPIRE STATE " . It consists of a charm bracelet and eleven charms depicting many of the NY State symbols and attractions.After completing the bracelet and logging all of the finds on Atlas Quest a bonus clue will be sent to you via EMail. The bracelet, charm #1 and directions for stamping are located in our development due to the size and contents of box. This box should be found FIRST. There is a logbook in this box ONLY. The rest of the charms are located in different parks in our area with the furthest one from your starting location in Glens Falls. All charm boxes are STAMPS ONLY ( 2 stamps each) and are in camouflaged medicine bottles making them difficult to spot,please. search carefully and replace well These stamps were carved by South Hill Hendersons and graciously given to us to plant in our area. We debuted this LB with a few of the charms at a local Meet and Greet in Indian Meadows Park in August.
CLUES
Bracelet and Charm #1 NYS Song and Slogan
Located in the Komar Park Development. Find the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Rt. 50 in the town of Glenville. Continue North Take a left at the next light going past Hewitt's Lawn Center on your right. Continue straight bearing left (DO NOT turn on Van Vorst). You will pass Charlton Heights Elementary School on your right, take the first left on Beechwood Dr., second right on Redwood and second left on McNamara Dr. At #7 in a pot under the mailbox with seasonal flowers is the box.

Indian Meadows Park in Glenville NY.
Park in the lot next to the playground. Walk back to the covered pavilion and enter the wide grassy trail in back and slightly to the left of the pavilion. Pass a grassy intersection, continue straight .You'll come to a rocky 4 way intersection with an orange arrow painted on a tree pointing right. Take this right., you'll pass picnic tables on your left and a large wooden map of Indian Meadows on your right. Continue straight, very shortly you'll come to a right fork. Take this fork and walk to the opening of the ball field. Turn around and walk back 25 paces. Spot a fallen tree on your right. It looks like a "steers head with horns". Facing the "steer" look under the Right "horn" nestled under leaves. Return to parking area the way you came.

Greenfield Town Park, Greenfield, NY
Starting from Saratoga Springs Take a left at the Adirondack Trust Bank on Broadway onto 9N. Follow 9N for approx. 2 miles out of the city. Take a LEFT on Middle Grove Rd. Go approx 3.5 miles. Greenfield Town Park is on the right across from the United Methodist Church. Park at the far end of lot and enter trail and walk up a slight incline.Look for a small open area on the left onto soccer fields. Continue along path to the FIRST 6' tree stump on the right. Continue 3 paces past stump and see on the ground on the right a 4' cut log. Box is tucked under the back right end of log. If you reach a sharp left turn YOU HAVE GONE TO FAR! Box is fairly close to start of trail.
Located within a few tenths of a mile in the Middle Grove Cemetery on the same road as Greenfield Park is the Horses Saratoga Style LB see AQ for clues.You may find some Greenfield Park Animals here too!
Head back to the city of Saratoga Springs for charms #6 and #7 You can get these before or after charms #4 and #5 depending on your day. There are numerous boxes in the Saratoga area and Charlottes Webb's Congress Park Ducks ) is in the same Park as these charms. See AQ for clues.

Enter Congress Park and walk uphill past the Canfield Casino on your left.Bear left on a paved path going up. At the FIRST forked tree on your left, under a rock in front of the base of the tree is prize.

Enter Crandall Park at the Korean War Veterans Memorial Parking Entrance off Glen St. Drive past Memorial (worth getting out and seeing this pretty monument)Go Straight to a T. Playground is on your right. Take a left and then a right. Park by the picnic pavilion. Continue by walking up the road. You'll see two trails at the top of the road. Enter Left trail going downhill. Take first LEFT. Trees on right are marked with white arrows. Count 23 paces to huge Pine Tree on right. Prize is on left side at the base covered with leaves

Enter Kinns Rd. Park off of Kinns Rd. in Clifton Park. Park in the furthest end of the parking lot.Stand facing the woods and look right to the corner Enter at this corner. Look at the tree that has an All dogs must be leashed etc sign with a NO MOTOR VEHICLES sign further up on the tree,Enter Bear left up trail, soon a trail enters from the right, continue straight. Another trail enters from the right,continue straight and you'll see a FOUR FOOT stump on the left. There is a downed tree directly behind almost touching the stump. Follow the downed tree to the first and only tree on the left of the downed tree. Camo medicine bottle is under pine needles and branches in between tree and log. PLEASE rehide carefully. Enjoy
