11/20/08 - The box is cleaned up and replaced.
Well it's that time of year again. My cohort and I have close birthdays so we decided to plant this one for both of us. The box is in Elizabeth Park, a place that was near and dear to us growing up and where we found our very first letterbox 4 1/2 years ago.
Enter Elizabeth Park through the entrance on the West Hartford side of Prospect Avenue. Follow the road to the end of the left side parking. (You will need to have parked before you got here or you will have to go down past the greenhouses, park and walk back.) Walk to the lonely little evergreen and then to the Pinus Strobus. Cross the street at the nearest crosswalk. Walk NNW 3 parking spaces. Look for the big cedar. The box is behind the smaller cedar growing out the side.
This can be a high traffic area so be cautious.
