**This park sustained serious flooding in 2008. Letterbox has not been located since.**
Sunset on Water
Within Wyaconda State Park find the entrance to Agate Lake Rd. Right across from the road is a shaded children's play area with a small parking lot.
Near the play structure, you should find a wooden staircase built into the slope. Walk down these stairs and turn left. You will be within a shaded path. Walk about 75 paces and stop.
To your left above you should see a giant timber teepee made by branches. You need to be under it's shelter so proceed up the hill or for a more gentler approach, continue on the path towards the latrine and curve left up the hill as the slope/brush allows.
While under the teepee you should be able to look out and see the lake. If it's late afternoon or evening you might get to see the sun setting over the water.
Turn and face the giant trunk. Look to your left and see if you can spot a curvaceous and peeling "arm". At the base of this arm, you'll find your goal.
Please reseal and wedge the box in place and cover completely.
**The sunset on water stamp is handcarved and on the flip side includes a vegetation stamp.
