(Note: I have archived the original Chester Changeable listing. I am now going to post each new box separately on this site so that those who log here will be able to log each find separately.)

Our changeable box has survived its first two months! If it wasn’t disturbed by the fisher-folk on Opening Day, we figure it’s fairly safe.

Remember: It may be monthly, it may not. When we change it, we’ll let you know how long it will be there for! If any bonus boxes are planted, they will be removed with the primary boxes.

That being said, this box will be there for the month of May. Expect it to be removed sometime on May 31!

My daughter has almost completed her Junior Girl Scout “’Doing’ Hobbies” badge. Obviously the hobby she chose was letterboxing! She carved this stamp as a gift to me :-) She will complete the badge when she attends Spring into Boxing with me this month!

Clues:
The West End Cemetary (that's how it's spelled in the sign!) in Chester is on Cedar Lake Rd., just off Route 148, overlooking Cedar Lake. Just past the cemetery is a parking place--if it’s available, park there!

At the opening in the wall next to the parking place, stand on the flat rock and take a bearing of 163° to the far side. If you don’t happen to have a compass, walk along the lake side of the cemetery until you see Gertrude Jagger. Just after that, look for a split tree. While I said the box was child friendly, at least one person in the group must be at least 5'1"--the box (actually a camo pouch) was placed up in the tree by me, and I may have overstretched a bit!

There is an inkpad, chosen by Purple Penguin--what color do you suppose it is? Feel free to take it back to your car to stamp in comfort, then replace carefully--don't want you or the letterbox to end up in the lake! As always, use discretion and log your finds!

Happy Mother's Day!
