Directions: This box is in Spice Bush Swamp on Mountain Rd., just north of Farmington Ave. (Rt 4). Coming from Farmington Ave. it will be on your left. There is a decent sized parking area. Rubber boots might not be a bad idea, especially if it has rained recently. It wasn’t buggy today but I have been here when it has been so you might want to bring the bug spray. It is a swamp after all.

Clues: From the parking lot, head to the memorial rock. Go toward the pond and look for the other memorial rock. Cross the closest bridge and stay on the trail. Don’t take any left detours. Go past the snakes in trees. You will pass a red emblem with a hiker on it. This is the only one I saw on the trail. Go straight at the fork just after the 8+ trunked tree, up a slight rise and over a small tree. Look for the broken off tree on the left. What could that rock in its side be hiding?? When you’re done stamping in, make sure you get the rock balanced back in to cover.

To get back to your car you can go back the way you came or keep going up the trail. Always stay right and you will come to stepping stones. Take them to and over the bridge to the pond again. You can go either way from here but the right is probably dryer.
