TRUMBULL PARK - Plainville

WHAT AM I????: I was created by Portland Mavericks left-handed pitcher Rob Nelson, and pitched to the Wrigley Company (owned by the Wrigley family, also longtime owners of the Chicago Cubs) by former New York Yankee All-Star Jim Bouton, a Maverick teammate of Nelson's. According to the 2005 packaging, over 450 million been sold since introduced in 1980. Follow the clues to find out what I am!

DIRECTIONS: Route 10 to Stillwell Dr (at the light across the street from Parson's Buick)Road curves around to the right. LEFT onto Trumbull Park. Follow the driveway through the fields all the way to the culdesac at the end. Park your car anywhere, legally. Our journey starts at the culdesac.

CLUES: From the culdesac, take a LEFT on the gravel path, towards the cinderblock shed and the batting cages. As you approach the home run terriory behind the 3rd baseline, you will see a small dirt path into the woods. Walk down this path. There will be a condo complex on your right. Keep going to the end. At the "T" intersection, go LEFT. (This might be a service road?) Immediately, you will see a pile of brush and a very small path into the woods. This tiny path leads to a clearing with several paths criss-crossing. It really is a mish-mosh of trails and I am using the word trail very loosely. Once the tiny path opens up into this type of clearing, look to your LEFT for a 2-sister tree. One of the sisters is boken off at about 7 feet from the ground. Reach inside this sister's hollow trunk to find box #4, and what I am!
From here, you can easily see the baseball field. I won't even begin to desribe the dopey paths... just travel like the bird flies and you will be back.
