Description: A short trek throughout the park for 2 letterboxes which includes reaching up into trees and down into bushes.
Directions: Take Exit 21 from I95 and head southeast along Route 278 to Hilton Head. As you enter Hilton Head you look for signs to the Shelter Cove Community Park. Turn right at either the Cracker Barrel or Fudruckers and follow the road until you see the park. Park anywhere in the parking lot.
Dolphin Clues (MISSING!!): A child finds pleasure fishing in this pond on the right. From the 4 small trees together with an even smaller tree inside them travel across the dike between the child’s pond and the wetlands. Pass the wild tree on your left and pace 21/step 42. On the left about 2’ into this bush with a small tree jetting up from it are the playful DOLPHINS.
Conch Shell Clues (MISSING!!): The Broadcreek/Ecosystem Kiosk is the point from which you must head 310 degrees. Behind the tree mound await 2 benches overlooking the wetlands. Sit in the one on the left. Look behind you up in the cedar tree over 6’ for the CONCH SHELL that got stuck.
If you find these letterboxes, especially the CONCH SHELL please feel free to rehide it further in the woods as I’m afraid it won’t last long in the tree with Hurricane season approaching. Just send me the updated clues so I can edit these. Thanks so much and happy hunting.
