We did this as part of a hike to the Calico Tanks (which were dry) but still worth the hike. Gi into the Red Rock State Park (west of Las Vegas via Charleston Blvd and past the red rock casino.) Once inside the park, go to the 3rd parking area and park. From the parking area, take the caloco tank/ turtlehead trail. Go about 200 yds to an ancient Agave Roasting Pit. (It's marked), Just past it, there is a trail marker. While looking at the trail marker, look right, across the wash/riverbed. There is a ground level cave. Directly above the cave is a square opening. The cache is in that square opening under some rocks. Plan to do the calico tank hike if you can. Its about a 2 hour round trip. Fairly easy but steep in spots. If you don't think you're up to it, we passed children, seniors and a crazy lady with a pet bird. So give it a try.
