The Newbury ladybug
The little village of Newbury, nestled at the southern tip of lake Sunapee in the shadow of Mount Sunapee is a vacationer’s paradise. Skiing, boating, hiking, swimming, fine restaurants, and friendly residents all combine to make Newbury an ideal destination. The Little Newbury Library is a delight for adults and children alike and Rosie and Shannon are always willing to help if there is something special you would like to read. Right next to the library is the brand new Velie Memorial Playground. You can park your car right at the playground or park in the town office lot and walk along the path that runs from the back of the library over to the playground. It is a very short path but as playground comes into view, look to your left and see a very large oak tree about ten steps into the woods and up against a stone wall. The Newbury ladybug is hidden in the roots at the back of the tree. Be sneaky, there are a lot of people in this area. Please seal the bag and re-hide the ladybug carefully.
