In the town of Norridgewock, just off Rt.2/201 is a large brown signe for Oosoola Park-named for the Native American heritage of this river community. Drive all the way down the dirt driveway, past the tanning/bottle redemption place on the left. The playground/park is on the left, river and boat launch directly in front of you. Park in the parking lot anywhere and walk to the back of the park-this is a seasonal, short walk, smaller stroller-friendly adventure. In the furthest back corner of the playground, behind the gazebo/climbers, and past a free-standing tree in that back corner, the park "bottle-necks" into a small dirt trail that runs along the edge of the river(this is the Kennebec). You are going out onto a little peninsula at this point of the trek. Travel less than a helf mile on this little trail to its very end. You will see the construction of the new bridge in Norridgewock to your right along the way. This trail literally runs out of room and into the river at its end, so you will be turning around and back-tacking the same way out as you came in! Your "Fun in the Sun" box is tucked underneath the left side of the large tree branch at the end/tip of the peninsula as you approach the tree. Good Luck!
