BOX IS MIA

Start at Platt Park located behind Platt Farm on Flood Bridge Road Southbury. Take exit 14 off I 84 headed toward South Britain on Route 172. Turn right onto Library Road then turn right again onto Flood Bridge Road. Turn left between the white fence and the white farm house (this looks like a driveway but is actually
Cass Road). Drive between the red barns, uphill to the parking lot. No dogs allowed.

Note the kiosk and head that way to walk between the white blazed post and the blue blazed post. Head up the blue and white trail. You will see side trails but stay on this one until you get to the middle of a field with a metal pole with red, white and blue blazes. (Thanks to Rubaduc for these first two paragraphs because up till here all I did was copy from her boxes clues) Here at the metal pole take the red trail to the left and enter the woods. Pass the pond on the right and at the end of the pond go right and head uphill on the red and yellow trail. Follow the red trail going up and up. Check the view of the South Britain Congregational Church and the horse farm next to Bent of The River Audubon. Follow the red arrow on the rock going up. Just before another overlook the trail will make a right and there before you is a tree with an exposed root system facing the trail. In the roots on the front side facing the trail you will find what you seek.
GPS reading of N41*28.409’ W73*14.904’ evation 535’.
You may retrace your steps back to the car or continue on the red trail passing the green trail to the left then crossing the boardwalk coming to the white trail.
(If you havn’t done Rubaduc’s “Just a Hop Skip And A Jump” boxes now is a great time to get her boxes, just take a left on the white trail.) Follow the red and white coming back to the initial metal pole and go left to return to the car.

Be sure to recover the box well because it does face the trail. Let us know of your find and the condition of the box.
