This is an easy walk for younger children.

Go onto Old Jewett City Rd. until you come to Stanton Ln. There is a sign there for Palmer Cemetery. Turn onto Stanton Ln. Shortly you will have to take a right and drive down a small road that doubles as a driveway. (FYI the house and farm here were built in 1777). When you come to the cemetery walk straight through the gate and find Nathan Benjamin. From here note the tree to the left on the inside of the wall. Go to the tree and look behind it for the Tiger.

After stamping your first Cemetery Safari find, stnad and face the wall. Now turn to the right and go about 50 paces. When you reach the turn look for the Giraffe.

After stamping your second Cemetery Safari find, stand and face the direction that you were going. Turn right and go about 55 paces until you reach the next turn. Turn right and go about 100 paces. When you reach the turn, look for the Rhinoceros.

After stamping your third Cemetery Safari find, stand and face the direction that you were heading. Turn right and go about 50 paces. Try to guess where the Elephant could be.

Before you return to your car be sure the look at some of the really cool old grave stones. This cemetery is circa 1650.

Also, be sure to look for "In Memory of Matthew Shroeder" in the same area.

BE SURE TO LEAVE THE CEMETERY EXACTLY AS YOU FOUND IT. THE TRUSTEE OF THE CEMETERY IS CONCERNED ABOUT SOME RECENT GRAFFITI AND MOVEMENT OF STONES. AGAIN, PLEASE RETURN ALL STONES EXACTLY AS THEY WERE. AS ALWAYS, LETTERBOXERS SHOULD LEAVE EVERY PLACE JUST AS THEY FOUND IT. THANK YOU.
