***This box has been confirmed missing, I believe it washed away in a storm. Poor planting on my part! A new stamp will be carved and I will replant it in a slightly better location.***
This is my first plant so I hope you enjoy it!
I've spent many a happy summer at Highland Lake in our family's cottage. One of my favorite things to do was look and listen for the loons. Hopefully this won't be a wild goose chase!!
From Rt. 9 take Rt. 123 West to the Mill Village Country Store in Stoddard. Park here.
Standing with your back to the store, turn left.
Walk to Shedd Hill Rd.
Walk on the side of the road that houses rescuers.
Walk to the feat of engineering that allows you to walk over water.
Walk to the right of it and stop between the 3rd and 4th vertical post.
Turn to your right and take one step.
You've probablly scared the loon by now. It's favorite hiding spot is under this large rock. Be careful not to fall!!
