The Sheltowee Trace Trail is a 323-mile National Recreation Trail that was created in 1979 and is primarily in the Daniel Boone National Forest. The trail is named after Daniel Boone, who was given the name Sheltowee (meaning "Big Turtle") when he was adopted as the son of the great warrior Chief Blackfish of the Shawnee tribe. This box can be found on a part of the trail in Red River Gorge, a canyon system on the Red River.

Directions:
From Bert T Combs Mt Pkwy go east on KY 77 for about 5 miles, then continue straight on KY 715 to parking area for Sheltowee Connector Trail on right.

Clues:
Walk on Connector Trail at end of parking lot to Sheltowee Trace and go right across suspension bridge. Continue straight up hill 20 yards to furthest tree with cables attached next to dead standing tree and dead laying tree. LB is in a hollow at end of the dead laying tree under a rock and leaves. Please replace as described and be discreet.

Hike length: 1 mile
