This box has 3 routes. Depending on how much time you have, you might want to choose the longer route.
Longest Route. Start by the Playground at 100 South Linwood Avenue. After playing, walk along the path between the pool and the ice rink. When the path comes to a T, turn left. At 11:00 you will see a staircase. Walk to the staircase, on the left you will see a mural, a garden, and very nice sports field. Go up this staircase and continue to straight to the lake. When you arrive at the lake, turn right and go onto the boardwalk. Go counterclockwise around the lake until you have gone almost 3/4 of the way around. Look up the hill and to the right, you will see another playground.
Midde Route: Start at the playground at the intersection of Eastern Avenue and South Milton Street. This is a great place to get ice cream or coffee. Play on the playground and then leave via the exit at the top of the hill by the circle of rocks. Make a right and then a quick left and you will be on a brick road. Turn right on the brick road and follow it until you see the stage where bands play in the summertime. Look up and you will see the Patterson Park Pagoda. Walk to the Pagoda.
Shortest Route: Start at the corner of Lombard and Patterson Park Avenue. Walk to the Patterson Park Pagoda. Walk in a circle around the pagoda. One of the small areas around the pagoda is a designated Fairy Garden with small houses for fairies to live in. One of the houses is made up of many small sticks. Lift up the house and find what you are looking for.
Hike length: 0.5 miles
