1. Your search begins at the “mitts for mutts” near the smallest shelter.
2. Follow the paved path north until you find a sign for our feathered friends.
3. Walk about 98 paces until you come to an easterly path.
4. Follow the short path to find a fallen sycamore tree that once stood tall.
5. Search around the log to find the letterbox.
Sycamore trees grow abundantly at Sycamore Park. They prefer areas with very moist soil, often along riverbanks. They are easily identified by their peeling white and camouflage colored bark, and broad leaves. Native Americans referred to sycamores as ghost trees.
