The Dall sheep is a subspecies of thinhorn sheep named for William Healey Dall, an American naturalist. They are white with thick, curling horns and inhabit the subarctic mountain ranges of Alaska. A good place to see them is on the cliffs above the road at Windy Corner, where you can also find this box.

Directions:
Go south on Seward Hwy (AK 1) to near Milepost 106 and park at Windy Corner on left side of road by sign.

Clues:
From sign walk up Turnagain Arm Trail 45 steps to another sign and continue 48 steps to clump of 6 trees on left. Go right off trail 6 steps up to a multi-trunk tree. LB is at back base under rocks.

Hike length: 0.1 miles
