Distance to Letterbox: 1 mile RT
This box is located near and past Mt Princeton Hot Springs. It was placed while searching for Forrest Fenn's treasure (look it up). You probably will not find the treasure, the views from this historic rail grade are great.
Directions:
From Nathrop, go west on CR 162. Pass Mt Princeton Hot Springs resort. Eventually come to parking area on right for "Cascades". Pull out and take a look. If you get to Cascade Campground on left you passed it. Park at far end of the pullout.
To the Letterbox:
Walk up the road on the left side. Soon you will come to trail on the left, with sign for the Train Grade. Take trail for 330 steps to wash area on right. Walk 175 septs to large boulder on left of trail. Continue 105 steps to group of Aspen 5 yards off trail on right, with boulder on right side. Box is behind the biggest tree.
