Pisan zapra is a phrase in Malay with no direct translation. It means “the time it takes to eat a banana,” meaning just a minute or two.
From the peak of Bear Mountain (the one in Danbury, not Salisbury!) go to the intersection of yellow and violet. Turn left on violet, going downhill alongside the bald spot. Very soon there is a violet-blazed two-sister tree on the right. (The blaze is more obvious on the downhill side.) At this tree, turn right off the trail for 10 steps and find your banana between two rocks. Please rehide him well!
From the peak to the box is about a pisan zapra, give or take peeling time.
Hike length: 2-3 miles
