Welcome!
You are on Noemie’s Birthday Letterboxing Trail B! The theme of this trail is all about Noemie at six years old - kind of like a letterboxing time capsule! Enjoy!

Starting from the parking lot, walk toward the covered pavilion. The barn fence will be to your left and the pavilion to your right. Right after the pavilion bear right and walk towards the gazebo. Continue on the gravel path past the gazebo and toward the pond. There will be two paths, but follow the one closest to the road that has a wooden fence on one side. The pond will be on your left and the road on your right. You’ll begin to see some trees blazed with a yellow rectangle. A blaze is a man-made marking to help you keep track of a given path - usually with colored paint. Follow the gravel path for a little while and soon you’ll notice that it splits right around the corner of the pond. One path continues to follow the pond around and the other continues straight into the woods. Follow the path that bends to the left around the pond. After the bend keep an eye out for a metal number 4 hammered onto a short stake. Walk to the number four and while facing it, look straight and slightly to the right up a little hill where you’ll see a tree with several large rocks in front of it. It is about 20 steps from the number 4 stake. Letterbox #1 will be hidden under a concrete slab that is near the rocks - Noemies dream job at six years old (veterinarian).

After stamping your book, please return the stamp exactly as you found it and turn around back down to the path by the pond. Continue to follow the path so that the pond is still on your left and the woods to your right. A little ways down you’ll see another wooden stake in the ground with the number ten on your right. Just a few steps away from the number ten you’ll see an old stone structure that’s broken down. In this stone structure you’ll find letterbox #2 - Noemie’s birth flower (daisy).

After stamping your book, please return the stamp exactly as you found it and go back to the path to continue on in the direction you were going. As the path begins to bear left again to wrap around the pond, continue straight on a small side trail that goes in between two bushes and leads to a large flat concrete platform. On the side of the platform you’ll see the trail continue. There will be a small stream to your left and a large hill to your right. Continue down until the trail ends at a three way intersection with a larger path. Turn left onto this larger path, the fence to the barn will be in front of you in the distance. Keep an eye out on the left side for two large piles of sticks and twigs a few steps away from each other. Check around the second large pile of twigs and sticks that also has a log that resembles the face of a snake for letterbox #3 - Noemie’s other favorite outdoor program (Nature Year at Common Ground).

After stamping your book, please return the stamp exactly as you found it and continue on the path. As you continue to walk toward the barn you’ll notice a large amount of cut tree limbs off to the right. Walk toward these limbs and look carefully for one that has a vertical saw cut into it. There will also be a rock in front of that log. Behind the log with the vertical cut you’ll find letterbox #4 - Noemie’s favorite vacation spot (Great Wolf Lodge).

After stamping your book, please return the stamp exactly as you found it and walk back to the path. From here continue on the path toward the barn fence. After a few steps look to your left and see the picnic table. Walk toward the picnic table and notice a little trail behind it that goes along the side of the pond. Follow this path so that the pond is on your left. Soon you’ll see a small stump on the left side of the trail. Look across from the stump to a sister tree on the right side of the trail. Check out inside this sister tree for letterbox #5 - Noemie’s favorite sport at six years old (soccer).

After stamping your book, please return the stamp exactly as you found it and continue back on the trail. Keep going in the same direction so that the pond is still on your left. As you continue to walk keep an eye out for a large wide and flat stump up on your right side off the trail some. At this stump you will find letterbox #6 - Noemie’s favorite animal at six years old (piglet).

After stamping your book, please return the stamp exactly as you found it and go back to the trail. Continue to follow the trail in the same direction and soon you’ll pass a bench. Keep going past the bench on the trail and a few steps after you’ll notice a group of trees off to the left. There is an odd large curved root in front of one of these trees. Check around this tree for letterbox # 7 - Noemie’s favorite movie at six years old (Rio).

After stamping your book, please return the stamp exactly as you found it and go back to the trail. Continue on the path and when it meets up with the first path where you started, take another left onto the path back down toward the pond. Follow it down once more, keeping an eye out for a downed tree with a bunch of gnarly roots. Look around the root end of the log and you’ll find letterbox #8 - Happy Birthday Noemie!!
