Difficulty: If skiing, will need to take Gondola to top, and ski off back side. If hiking, Take Gondola to top, then hike down to Temple Lodge (but make sure it is open in summer or will not get box).
Distance:
From top of Gondola, about 1 mile each way.
Lake Louise Ski Resort is beautiful, but not the greatest skiing. Still worth a day or two. Box is inside Temple Lodge, so make sure that lodge is open before you go there. Great place for lunch while skiing.
Directions:
From Hwy 1 at Lake Louise exit, follow signs to Lake Louise Ski resort at end of road, park.
To the Letterbox:
Winter: take Gondola up to top. Ski off back side (Green or black) down to Temple Lodge.
Summer: (if open) Take lift up, the hike trails to Temple Lodge.
At Lodge, enter double doors. To left is women's Bathroom, to right is information board. Go to far end of the info board. Look behind and up and see rail going across. Box is on top of that rail (Small round box).
Hike length: 1-2 miles
