GIRL SCOUT DUO

Planted by Bluebird and Troop 1168 on April 8, 2004

These two boxes are add-ons to two Killingworth Land Trust boxes on Wolf Hollow Trail, so there are now 4 boxes to find, in about an hour and 15 minutes. The trail is mostly flat, with rocky spots and can be wet in spring and after lots of rain!

Directions: Go north on Route 81, past the circle at the Route 80 intersection until you see Killingworth Elementary School on your left and Wolf Hollow Road on your right – about 1/2 mile. Park in the school lot if school is not in session. The trail is across the street, just a few feet south of Wolf Hollow Road. There are no blazes but it is an obvious old road.

Box #1 “Girl Scout Fun”

Follow the trail until you see the first rock wall on the right which is perpendicular to the trail. Just beyond it near the trail and wall see a large tree – look behind!

Box #2 “Troop 1168”

Continue down the road/trail. After the rocky downhill section look for a tree on the right with a knothole at ground level. Guess what is inside! It is right next to the trail and the hole is coverd by a trapdoor rock. Please re-hide this one carefully, as it is right alongside the trail.

Now – continue on, to get the two land trust boxes!
