Note that there have been a couple of reports that this box is missing. I haven't been over to investigate yet.

The midday sun passes directly over the ridge of Noon Hill, giving the hill its name.

To get to Noon Hill Reservation start at the intersection of Rt. 27 and Rt. 109 in downtown Medfield and head west on 109 .1 miles. Take a left on Causeway Street and go about 1.5 miles to the intersection of Noon Hill Rd. Take another left on Noon Hill Rd. and go .2 miles to the parking area on the right.

There is a bulletin board with a map under glass and supposedly there are sometimes copies available, but I've never seen them. The safest thing to do is to print out a map of Noon Hill from the Trustees of Reservations web site before you go.

To find the letterbox make your way to the scenic overlook on the south side of the reservation. It should be on the map and can be found beyond trail marker #7. Go to the most scenic place at the scenic overlook and enjoy the view to the south toward Foxborough and Norfolk. In the distance you will see Gillette Stadium, some water towers and some cell phone towers.

After relaxing and enjoying the view it's time to get the box. Return to the main trail and face trail marker #7. Ahead and to the right (southwest I think) is a large rock outcropping about 20 paces away. Head to the right of the rock outcropping and you should see a dead fallen tree leaning on the outcropping. Just before you get to the tree face the outcropping and notice a boulder about the size of an ottoman at chest height. Just to the left of the ottoman sized boulder is a mini-cave at about neck height. Inside this cave hides the Noon Hill Letterbox.

Since the hiding place is almost at eye level, I placed a small rock in front of the box to help keep it from being discovered. Please replace it when you are finished.

Two notes:

- Bring your own stamp pad.
- This was my first ever attempt at stamp carving. It's supposed to be the sun passing over the ridge of Noon Hill. No laughing allowed.

Originally planted on 7/24/2004. Replanted on 3/25/2007 in a slightly new location. There's a new box with a brand new log book, but the same old stamp.
