****Reported Missing 9/30/07****
The Black Diamond Mines Regional Preserve is part of the East Bay Regional Park District. There is a $4 entrance fee on weekends.
Clue:
From the “Homage to the Past” box, take the trail towards the “No bikes” sign. At the fork, follow the trail towards the Portal and go about 32 “short woman” steps. Spot the large multi-trunked tree on the left. The box is hidden in the roots behind the tree. Carefully replace all rocks when done stamping in!
