Glenwood is a small prairie town, located in southern Alberta. It is a short drive to Waterton Lakes National Park, and the Montana/U.S. border. While you are here visit our Ice Cream Parlour and Cheese Museum. It opens every year on the May 24 long weekend and it stays open until Labour Day. This box is in honour of this small town and fun family times that the people in Glenwood enjoy all summer long.

From Lethbridge, drive to Fort Macleod, take Highway 810 south to the Glenwood turnoff.

From Waterton, drive East towards Cardston, 1km west of Mountain View turn North towards Hillspring, drive through Hillspring and turn right at the corner, soon you will be at Glenwood. You have three opportunities to turn into Glenwood along this highway.

To find the letterbox find main street. Starting on the south end there is a general store, a restaurant, a vacant lot, a presently vacant building that used to be a post office, a fire hall, a bank/post office, ice cream parlour/cheese museum, and finally a community hall. Across the street there is a village office with a library in the back. Go to the vacant lot north of the restaurant. In the middle of the lot there is a very tall pine tree. Find this tree. The letterbox is not near that tree. Look to the west. You will see a very old stone stove. The letterbox is inside the stove. Please put it back on the shelf, tuck it in nicely, so it doesn’t fall out on either side.
