Barkley Meadows is a day-use park nestled along Onion Creek where visitors enjoy catch-and-release fishing, hike & bike trails, a playground, and pecan shaded picnic areas. The creek was inspiration for the stamp in this box, and you can find it near a viewpoint.

Directions:
From TX 71 go south on FM 973 for 1.7 miles, left on Pearce Ln for 0.7 mile, left on TX 130 Service Rd for 0.8 mile (don't get on TX 130 toll rd), then right into Barkley Meadows Park.

Clues:
Walk to the map kiosk and continue past it on right side sidewalk, going past the pavilion, to T-jct with far side cement path. Go right, eventually crossing a bridge, to a jct with a sign about the Old Bastrop Hwy and the Garfield Jones Bridge. Go left across this bridge & continue 25 steps, then right off trail 10 steps to a multi-trunk tree. LB is hanging from the left trunk about 3' high. You can walk a little farther past the bridge to the edge of Onion Creek.

Hike length: 1 mile
