NEW STAMP!! I have made a new stamp to replace the old stick-figure stamp. (It was one of my first stamps, so it wasn't very good!) Enjoy!
Directions: About 2 miles south of Moab, turn right on Angel Rock Rd. until it deadends. Turn right on Rimrock and follow it until it deadends at the trailhead.
There are now three boxes in Hidden Valley. Take the time to find all three. . .the hike and scenery are worth it! The other two are: Kokopelli's Gift, and Coyote Run. You can find information about the difficulty of the trail with the Coyote Run directions.
Clues:
From the parking lot, hike up the trail until you get to the sign-in box. After signing in, walk up the trail (not too far) until you see a large rock piggybacking smaller rocks. At this rock, look to your left and you will see a large rock outcropping up the hill. From the back end of the piggyback rock, walk 12 steps south up to a large flat rock. Say hello to the baby pinion pine right next to this rock! Walk up the flat rock, then on up the wash until you get to a juniper tree. At the juniper, look 150* and you will see a natural hole in the large rock outcropping. Behind some rocks, you will find some 'Hidden Hikers'! Enjoy!
Be sure to bring lots of water with you on hot days!
Please be careful not to walk on the cryptobiotic soil.
