The Blood Center of East Texas
You will start at the Post Office on the corner of University Blvd. and Austin Street. From North Street (Business 59), head East on Austin. You will come to the Post office on your right.
To The Box:
1. Park in the NW corner of the parking lot. Walk along the sidewalk on Austin Street heading West. You will cross the La Nana Creek bridge, then look for a brown sign on your left that says LA NANA CREEK TRAIL.
2. After you've found the sign, look for a good place to get down the hill. To get to the trail head, walk East back toward the creek.
3. You will see a sign on your right that says NO MOTORIZED VEHICLES. Keep heading East.
4. You will come to a double trunk tree on your left. Keep following the trail in front of you.
5. As you follow the trail, count the benches. You will pass two benches on your right, then you will come to a bridge. At the foot of the bridge, turn around and face the way you just came.
6. Take 17 steps. To your left, about 11 steps off the trail, you will see a small tree directly in front of a wider tree. Your treasure awaits you behind the larger tree under forest debris.
