This box is near Battle Mountain High School. Caution: You will be going into Longhorn territory.
DIRECTIONS:
From I-80 take the Central Battle Mountain exit #231, and go north on Broad St. Turn right on 8th St. and then right on Reese. Follow the road as it curves left around Eloquist Park and on just past the high school and park along the street on the right side, next to the park at the duck pond.
CLUES:
Go around the pond to the southwest corner. Face the “Downtown Exit 231” sign. Turn around and follow the fence parallel with the freeway. On the right there are 3 single-trunk trees lined up in a row, then a clearing, and another tree. The black pouch is at its base in back. If you get to the white post with an orange tip on the other side of the fence, you’ve gone 17 steps too far.
PLEASE BE DISCREET, RE-SEAL THE ZIPLOCS AND POUCH COMPLETELY, AND RE-HIDE THE POUCH VERY WELL.
