11/08 This box has been replaced (again). It has a different design than the first 2, so if you'd like an additional image if you've already found it, come and get it again!
**** In addition to a new stamp, the clues are also different this time.
If you like Mexican food, head to this wonderful restaurant in Hudson. It’s the sister restaurant to one in NYC, and you can find familiar favorites as well as more unusual, always flavorful choices. Chile Boy particularly likes the variety of hot sauces on all the tables, which are also for sale, so stock up!
If you go during the day, Hudson is filled with all sorts of interesting shops, antique stores, and galleries. The day we planted this box we discovered The Spotty Dog Books and Ale, which also sells art supplies! There are a couple of other boxes in town as well. For directions, hours, and a peek at Mexican Radio’s regular menu, go to http://www.mexrad.com.
Clues: Enter the restaurant, and head up the stairs. You will be looking for members of a very special band. Some are located at the front of the restaurant, and some at the back. Keep track of how many band members there are. Once you’ve counted them, head back downstairs, turn right, and walk past the bar into the back dining area. Now locate a number in a book -- a date, to be specific. Add the date to the number you already noted, and the add the four digits of this number to get a final two-digit sum. Finally, ask to see a manager to tell them the number to get the letterbox. Now, enjoy a margarita as you stamp in. (Thanks to the wonderful management at Mexican Radio who contacted me and offered to host it more safely!)
I hope you like this box -- please contact me to let me know of any problems with the box or just to say hello.
