For this box, you will find a compass helpful, and you'll need to differentiate between a pace (think Roman Centurion!) and a step.
Go to Riverbend Park and park in the Visitors'Center lot. Walk down to the river, find the River Trail and follow it upstream. Pass the Nature Center trail on the left. Pass the "Oh Chute" interpretive sign. Pass a bench. As the river becomes noisy (rapids), pass 2 large sycamores on the right. Six paces beyond them is a large tree with a blue blaze on it. Go 24 paces farther to a very tall tree on the right, possibly a hickory. Take 6 steps forward on the path. Now, on a bearing of 219 degrees bushwhack to 2 young beech trees, the first with its left elbow sticking out, the second pretty straight. Muskrat Ramble II dwells at the base of the second beech.
