This letterbox is a group effort by the charter members of the Mid Missouri Letterboxing Society. Lnd Crzr designed and carved the stamp, C2B2 built the handsome outer box, Grace to You created the handmade logbook, Jenny J wove the stamp's cloth bag and wrote the clue.

This group box is hidden in the "District" of Columbia. No insect spray, hiking stick or compass is required! Please bring your own ink. The proprietor of the establishment has given his consent for the placement of the box. Good eats and drinks abound, so have a treat while you stamp in. The spot for the box can be VERY busy at times, so if someone is in the vicinity while you are there, please wait a bit or come back later. As always be discreet and replace the box where you found it. Write to us about your adventure using the "Contact the Place" link.

Now here's the clue:

For a special LB treat
You should travel to Cherry Street.
Where it intersects with Nine -
A shop of coffee and art so fine.
Down the stairs and past the cat,
A comfy corner is where it's at.
Wooden drawers of many sizes,
One a letterbox disguises.
Open the single above the pair,
A finger hole is hidden there.
Slide it open. What is revealed
In a drawer so cleverly sealed?

15 August 2011 - Sorry to say, the cafe where this box was hidden has closed permanently. We are not sure what has become of our group box. If it ever turns up, we'll unarchive and rehide it.
