School House Rock Series: Grammar Rock #5
Verb! That’s What’s Happening

This series is dedicated to one of my favorite childhood memories of getting up every Saturday morning and watching cartoons; however the cartoons I remember most were the ones that took place in between the shows. The ones that are still with me to this day teaching me how a bill becomes a law and the difference between adjectives and adverbs. Every Saturday morning between 1973 and 1985, ABC assembled a brilliant and ever-changing creative team, who crafted educational public service announcements that not only taught children but entertained all who watched them. Squeezed between episodes of Scooby Doo and LaffOlympics and Underoos, they artfully snuck in education. Schoolhouse Rock became a rote means for both children and adults to learn the Preamble of the Constitution or know the function of a conjunction. Today they are all on video and can be rented or purchased for personal viewing pleasure. It’s too bad they no longer air on any of the major networks. Their entertaining and educational message is hard to beat.

This series was design for all both old and young short and tall so it is very kid friendly and a fairly leisurely outing compared to my usual boxes.

This box was planted as part of plant a letterbox day. To locate this letterbox you must find the other boxes in the series since the fourth box is the starting location for this one.

Before you begin your hunt I would suggest you go to:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-vwo81Dpjk
This will get you into the right frame of mind for hunting.

From box #4 continue down the trail circling behind some yellow condos on the right. Follow the trail as it turns and ends at the street. Cross the street and go left on the sidewalk. The trail begins again after crossing over the creek curving off to the right away from the road. Heading down this trail you will soon see a pair of massive guardians on the right, one of which you can stand in its hollow. Continue past this pair and soon you will notice a tall chain link fence running roughly parallel to the trail. After passing bench site #20, stop on the trail roughly equal to where the fence ends. Count off 10 paces and on your left is a hidden opening leading back to a medium sized v-trunked tree about five paces off the trail. Look at the front of its base behind the guardian stone.

Please rehide well so none of the pouch is showing and be very discreet in your LBing. The boxes are located right off the trail and people can sneak up on you if you are not paying close attention. Also, please drop me a note to let me know how your hunt went.
If the box is missing or damaged please contact me at ahistory (at) centurytel (dot) net or through the LbNA.
