E-mail me at gnrlap@planet.eon.net to receive a Microsoft Word document with a sudoku puzzle. Use the letters A, B, C, E, G, H, I, R, and S instead of the numbers 1 to 9 to solve this sudoku puzzle. Use the letters in the centre of each block to spell the name of an Edmonton community.
Once you know the name of the community, follow these instructions:
Start at the school that has the same name as the community.
Follow the road that runs along the eastern side of the school north until you reach a statue.
If the letter in the bottom left corner of the puzzle is E, turn right. If the letter is S, turn left.
At the four-way stop, if the letter in the top right corner of the puzzle is A, turn right. If the letter is H, turn left. If the letter is C, go straight.
Turn left at the T intersection.
Turn left again at the third intersection. If you pass a moose between the first and second intersections, you are on the right track.
Go straight at the yield sign.
A few metres along this stretch of road, there is a circle. Follow the circle right about half way around.
There is a vehicle track in the grass on the right, follow it as it curves to the left.
There will be another, smaller path that will go just a few feet before running into a wall of evergreens. Turn right and walk beside the wall of evergreens until you reach the corner.
The letterbox is buried slightly under the mulch behind the corner tree.
Don’t be surprised if you are scolded by an angry squirrel. I was.
Bring your own inkpad!
May 4, 2008: This letterbox is in place and in good condition.
