This box is placed in remembrance of my grandmother, Evelyn, who died the weekend before Thanksgiving 2004. She lived to the incredible age of 96 and had a wonderful and rich life. She loved to travel to the orient and her home was decorated beautifully in antiques from China and Japan. This box has been re-carved and moved from Idaho to New York.

Here is the history of the logbook pages that were left behind while the box was planted in Boise. The box was found with the log book and stamp missing only the container and stamped pages were left behind by the bandits.

Blithewood Mansion

DIRECTIONS:
Head north on Route 9G. Just after Cappuccino's Restaurant (which is on the right hand side of the road) take your first left hand turn onto Annandale Road. This road is not well-marked at all. In fact there is no sign at the end of the street to tell you the name. This road is right across the street from "Old Whalesback Road" which is marked.

Immediately after turning left you will then see the street sign with the name of the road and it's also marked as County Route 103. Head down Annandale Road then turn right onto Blithewood Ave. Follow this until the end. It's going to dump you in a parking lot at the mansion. Park here.

CLUES:
After you park locate an enormous half dead but still living spooky tree. Walk to the back side of this tree (no rot!) and take a reading of 326 degrees.

Start walking in this direction. You are looking for a group of 2-3 trees that have leaves growing up their trunks like fur.

Stand at the group of these 2-3 trees and take a reading of 260 degrees to another tree (it will be toward your left as you're standing there taking the reading). At the base of this tree and covered with leaves and twigs is your prize. Please rehide carefully. Don't forget to check out the gardens. This is a beautiful location!
