Directions:

From: NYS Rt 41A South from Skaneateles, North from Homer
Drive .8 miles North of New Hope to Apple Tree Point Road

Follow Apple Tree Point Road until it intersects with Carver Road. Park at the small parking area on your left. Walk into the hiking trails to the “Carpenter Falls Ravine” Sign

Clue:

Box #1 – Upper Falls
Follow the “Upper Falls Trail” until the waterfall comes into view at the rock outcroppings. The trail will come to a fork. The main trail will veer to your right. You will take the “root steps” to the left for 20 steps. Look for a pine tree on your right with lots of roots. To the left, spot “I love wild Brenda”, and look at the base for your box.
For the adventurous, follow the steep trail all the way down for a spectacular view of the upper falls.

Box # 2 – Lower Falls
Return back to the mail trail sign, and follow the “Lower Falls Trail”. You will cross over a foot bridge, and through a pine forest. Walk down a hill, then back up. Pass through a cut “tree gate”, and then another “tree gate” This one will be at a 3 trunked split tree. Hear those falls now? Continue on the trail until you come to the “Danger” sign. Look to the right at a giant fallen tree. Follow it back uphill to its roots. Look on the far side of the roots for your prize.

DON'T TRY THESE BOXES DURING HUNTING SEASON

While in the area, be sure to visit "13th President - Millard Fillmore" and the "South Skaneateles" Series
