Sea Center Texas is a state-of-the-art marine fish hatchery and aquarium located on 75 acres in Lake Jackson. The focus of Sea Center is the marine life of Texas bays and Gulf waters, which are depicted in a unique series of habitats and aquaria. The centerpiece is a 50,000-gallon aquarium containing several varieties of shark, large red drum, gray snapper and a large Queensland grouper named Gordon. At nearly 300 pounds, Gordon clearly dominates all and is the undisputed underwater celebrity. On the grounds beside the Visitor Center are over 5 acres of coastal marshes that visitors can access via an elevated boardwalk. There is also an open-air pavilion surrounded by a butterfly and hummingbird garden that provides an excellent place to relax or eat lunch during a visit. And all this is free! So bring the family and enjoy the center while looking for this microbox. If you got my original box before it went missing, come again since this is a new box in a new location.
Directions:
Lake Jackson is about 55 miles south of Houston via US 288. In Lake Jackson, turn right on Plantation Drive and follow the signs to Sea Center Texas at 300 Medical Drive.
Clues:
Turn left after entering the parking lot and park at the far southeast corner. In front of you is a tree within a hedge about 5 feet from its southern end. Look in the bush on the left (north) side of the tree for the microbox hanging on a branch about 3 feet off the ground. Please replace as described.
