Update
11/11/2018
The structure and the mural have been demolished and every trace has been removed. There is still an area of sand where it once stood, but this may get overgrown in time. There have also been reports of forest fires in this area.
11/15/2015
The trunk of the pine tree has broken about a foot above the ground but the roots and stump part seem to be intact.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Not hung in a museum,
Which itself is quite strange:
The work of a genius
Or someone deranged?
To come right out and tell you,
You’d find it with ease.
Or I could give you the wrong route
To taunt you and tease.
But that would be cruel,
So let’s do some math.
Find the solution
And you’ll know the path.
Off at five from the circle,
On three threes times eight,
Pass eight cubed thence adding
Some aliens’ fate.
But if you go past it,
And find eight times four,
Plus twenty times five squared,
Turn ‘round with a roar.
Pull off to the shoulder
And rest in the shade,
And see this great artwork
That someone has made.
Go behind the building and stand with your back to the middle of it. Take 16 steps (footfalls) on a bearing of 40 degrees to a (what else?) pine tree. The box is hidden under a pile of pine needles at the base.
• This is the Pine Barrens; in summer months, please take all precautions against ticks.
• Bring your own ink; blue is suggested.
• Please rehide well.
