If you’re into mid-century travel trailers, or just like to time travel, the Shady Dell is a one-of-a-kind romantic hideaway just east of Bisbee. You can sleep in one of their dreamy vintage aluminum trailers, restored to their original splendor with attention to detail. The collection includes a 1949 Airstream, a 1950 Spartanette, a 1950 Spartan Manor, a 1954 Crown, a 1951 Royal Mansion and an immaculately restored 1947 Chris Craft yacht.
If you’re hungry for old fashioned burgers, fries and shakes, Dot’s Diner is tip-top! It’s a 1957 Valentine 10 stool diner at the Shady Dell. Dot’s is open for breakfast and lunch every day except Tuesday and Wednesday.

If you happen to be a kid, be verrrrry cool here. Kids under 10 aren't allowed to sleep in the trailers, so if you look young, you'll be extra scrutinized. Be at your best.

Look for two letterboxes:
1) Love Nest
Love Nest's hiding place got hit by a car, and was inaccessible for a few months. Thanks to Heart in Holland, Girl Detective, the box was found and rehidden. The new clue is listede under a separate listing: The Rescued Love Nest at the Shady Dell. Let me know if you find it!

2) Sugar and Salt
The Sugar and Salt letterbox is easy to find, but tricky to remove and replace. Prepare yourself.
Look for the gas pump where gas is 26 cents/gallon. Just to the east, under the northeast corner of the Diner, hidden by a couple of bricks. Scope it out from the front, and then sneak around the back, from the alley, to remove and replace it.

Do be sneaky, subtle, stealthy, secretive, sleight-of-handy, sly and surreptitious! The eyes of the world are upon you.
The management is always friendly to people who are considering perhaps coming back for an overnight stay.

Let me know if these boxes need attention. Please record your find at www.letterboxing.org/ or at www.atlasquest.com/
Have fun out there!
