The image in this letterbox represents a famous landmark this Oregon Trail pioneer most likely saw on her way westward.
Directions:
Travel east .4 miles past the junction of 26 and 35 (located about 10 miles south of Mt. Hood) and turn right onto the road for "Pioneer Woman's Grave". This is a narrow old road with overgrowm edges but still in good shape. After .3 mile you will come to the marker and grave site on your right. Just past is a parking area but you can turn around there and park across from the grave site heading back the way you came.
Clues:
Climb the small enbankment to where two large trees touch. The large one leans against the slightly smaller one. Behind the big one under bark and debris is the box. Really too small for a hitchhiker. Consider this a drive by.
