The last few letterboxers haven't been able to find this letterbox...but try - you'll be so happy with the magical view you find!
From the Old Harbor area, head north on Corn Neck Road.
Take a right onto Mansion Road to the end, following signs for Mansion Beach (at end of 'paved' road hook a right onto the dirt road).
Park where you can and get out to enjoy the beauty!
Starting from the 'emergency vehicle' beach access path... walk along the top parking/overlook areas...note the old stone wall capped with cement slabs on your left. Notice the line of large stones/small boulders in front of the wall. Then pass by a large path thru the brush to the lower parking area on your left also!
As you keep walking up the parking road, you'll see a second continued portion of the old stone wall capped with cement slabs (if you come to the sharp turn left to the lower parking lot-you've gone to far).
As you are walking along the second portion of the old stone wall, note the higher columns in the wall. Position yourself in the middle of the second and third columns facing the water. The vines may have grown over the wall...and hiding spot, so be persistent! Just a little left of center of the second and third columns, note there are a couple of large stones in front of the wall. Now look at the wall and look for round/smooth stones. Behind these stones, you'll find Mandy's Spirit.
This letterbox was placed in memory of our beautiful Mandy...wonderful daughter, sister and friend. The beauty you see as you look out towards the water from Mandy's Spirit...will give you a glimpse into the great person Mandy was!
