Interesting Insects 3 boxes- 1 mile - Mostly paved path
D.W. Field Park: 331 Oak St. Brockton-Rt 24 to exit 18B, take right onto Pearl St., drive 1/4 mile @ 2nd light, take right onto Oak st. Main park entrance is 1 mile down on the left just after Fuller Craft Museum.

Enter the park’s Main Gate off of 331 Oak St. (same side as the golf course). Park in the main lot on the left after entering the gate. Start walking on the primary paved roadway into the park. (This gate is sometimes closed to traffic but be careful; if open, this small section has two-way traffic) Soon, you’ll come to a fork in the road. Go right and up the hill (but stay in the left lane-the pedestrian lane). Up ahead is a large stone tower. This tower is very old and is the highest point in the area. If the tower is open, it’s worth a climb to the top! Keep walking past the tower, past the gravel lots and soon you’ll see a paved horseshoe-shaped parking lot on the left. Just before the auto entrance to the lot, there is a series of 8 boulders. At the end is a larger boulder between trees. Around to the back of this boulder where the boulder and tree connect is a nook where The Delightful Dragonfly is hiding.
Now, enter the parking lot and follow it around to the corner nearest the pond. Here you’ll see the largest boulder in view. Next to this is a small, paved pedestrian path that follows along the pond. Take a left onto the path and start following the pond clockwise. Soon the narrow paved path turns into a larger gravely road. There is a small “beach” on the right. 7 paces BACK from where the paved path meets the gravel, there is a tree near the pond that has 2 trunks growing out of 1. Hidden around the back at the base of the trunk, under some leaves and old sticks, is The Lovely Ladybug. (Please re-hide her well under the sticks.)
Continue down the gravel path, keeping the pond on your right until you come to the main paved roadway. To find the final box on your quest, turn left on the paved roadway(However, just a short distance to the right, you'll see a lovely waterfall-worth a brief detour) About 2/10 of a mile after turning left onto the road-(3/10 from the waterfall), you’ll see a very large boulder on the left that looks like a tree is growing out of its corner. If you look at this boulder head-on from the road and think of it as a clock, where you’re standing is 6:00. The Beautiful Bumblebee is hidden at the base of the boulder at 2:00, under a small ledge.
Congrats! Continue along the paved roadway for another ¼ mile to return to the main parking area.
