Note: This LB is well-hidden due to kids hanging out in the area; look deep and re-hide deep.

The Togue Letterbox is found on the Lake Auburn Nature Trail. Park at the Auburn Land Lab (formerly the Charles P. Wight School) where West Auburn road intersects with Holbrook and Whitman Spring road in Auburn. Cross the intersection to the Lake Auburn Nature Trial. Follow the trail head road for about 15 minutes when you'll see a stone wall in the woods to the left. Along the way, listen for loons, try catching a togue in the lake, or spotting two very large unusual pines - first a triple-trunk, then a double-trunk - both on the right side of the road. When you've found the stone wall, go stand at its corner and walk south along the wall for 8 manly steps. On the lake side of the top stone on your left in a deep crevice covered with smaller rocks is the Togue Letterbox. Save time to take a scenic drive around the lake and have a treat at Tabor's golf range and ice cream or a fantastic Italian sandwich at the North Auburn general store (before it closes in December 2003).
