The box is on the "Pond Loop Trail" in Beartown State Forest. The loop is an easy-to-moderate hike of slightly under 2 miles.

Park in the lot next to Benedict Pond. Walk North to the lake, turn East and walk on the Pond Loop trail. The trail will intersect with the Appalachian Trail at the eastern end of the pond. The trail will take you across a number of small foot bridges. When the Pond Loop trail breaks off from the Appalachian Trail, stay on the Pond trail heading West. About 100 feet from where the Appalachian Trail breaks off, look on your left for a tree that splits in two. The box is nestled in the crevice of the tree.
