***You will need your own inkpad and pen.***
Directions:
Take Route 378 to Route 377. At this intersection, take a right into Albany Rural Cemetery. Drive up to the traffic circle. Here you will see a street sign that marks the intersection of Linden Avenue and Cypress Avenue. Park here.
The Inuscule-Minuscule Arachnid
Walk up Cypress Avenue toward the Office. You will see a man-made pond with a fountain. Keep the fountain on your right. Take your first right once you've passed the pond. On the right, you will see a "Bender" area surrounded by bushes. Facing the "Bender" area, look for the inuscule-minuscule arachnid on the right between the bushes and the entrance post. Once you find it, it will tell you about how it rained really hard as he climbed up the fountain and washed him away all the way over here. Show some sympathy before putting him back.
The Most Forgettable President
President Chester A. Arthur is supposed to be buried under his grave, but someone moved him at the last minute! To find the actual location of our 21st President, go back the way you came to Cypress Avenue. From here, continue straight onto a gravel path. Keep going straight until you stop to count your "Blessings". While you count, Helen and Elizabeth will tell you to take a right onto a grass path. Look for Ol' Glory and walk to it. Beside it is the assumed residing place of Chester A. Arthur. Drop a penny on his grave to wish him good luck (not that he needs it, because he's dead). Stand at the top of the steps that lead up to Chester's grave. With your back to the grave, head straight onto a grass path. Continue down the hill with the creek on your left until you get to a bridge. Cross the bridge. Once across, take a sharp right down under the bridge. Elegant Arthur is under here.
The Grumpy Old Goat Eater
Trolls are always grumpy unless they're eating goats. Your goal is to distract the troll so some innocent goats can get away. To find the grumpy old goat eater, go back up to the bridge. Go past the chain and take a right up the hill on a paved road. At the top of the hill, take a right on Middle Ridge Road. From Middle Ridge Road, take your first right on a gravel path that goes down a hill. At the bottom of the hill, take a right towards the troll's bridge. To your left just before crossing the bridge is a small supporting stone wall. On the creek side of this wall is a crevice where the grumpy old goat eater is waiting to capture goats. Distract him with your inkpad so the goats can get away before you put him back.
Trees Are Terrific
Trees really are terrific if you think about it. Stop chopping them down; it's for your own good if you do. From the bridge, retrace your steps until you get back to Linden Avenue. Once you're here, take a right. Take Linden Avenue down all the way through the valley to North Ridge Road. Past North Ridge Road, look for an Eastern White Pine on your left. With the pine on your left, you will see three evenly spread trees on your right. The terrific tree and the log book are inside the middle tree.
To get back to your car, just go back down Linden Avenue until you get to your car.
