An easy drive by
Hand carved stamp
A hidden lake and picnic ara within the Tucson city limits. You can bring a pole and picnic lunch if you want to fish or just relax in one of the many Ramadas.
From I-19, head west on Ajo to La Cnolla, which is about 1/2 mile west of Mission Rd. Turn right, north, for about 1/4 mile to the John F. Kennedy Park. Take the right entrance and look to the left for a one way road. Follow the road to Ramada 23 and park. Look to the right and past the drinking fountain and see a Palo Verde tree with 4 cacti in arrow behind it. The box is behind the tree and to the right under a pile of rocks and twigs.
This could be a busy place on week ends and holidays so be discreet. Also watch for maintenance crew.
Please let us know the condition of the box.
