Penwood State Park located on Rt. 185 in Bloomfield. Log book in second box. No inks.
Easy walk but long, four miles round trip.
Starting from the parking lot you can take either road near the stone memorial but I recommend going to the left. After walking either paved raod for 2 miles you will come to Lake Louise. There are picnic tables and signs galore along with a board walk and observation deck.
Form this point you want to take the Metacomet trail heading southerly up a hill till you see a wooden bench on the right. Standing between the E and the bench, look into the woods about 15 steps to a three sister tree where this stamp (carved by RTRW) now resides.
Head back to Lake Louise and go northerly on the blue trail. From the sign post count 85 steps to a fallen tree perpendicular to the trail. Go up the right side to a cross over tree and look under bark for the Dream Catcher also carved by RTRW.
Thanks for visiting.
